I started looking around for apple crisp recipes on the web, and boy, did I ever get information overload! Now, I really love apple crisp, but sometimes I want something just a bit different than the same old recipe that I make. I love apples, and apple crisp is one of the easiest ways to make a scrumptious and easy dessert. So, I thought that I would share the apple crisp recipes, that I liked the best.

Ingredients:

3 cups chopped tart apples
2 cups raw cranberries
1 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 cup quick oats
1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnuts
1 stick of butter or margarine, cut in small pieces(4 ounces)

Preparation:
Spread applies & cranberries in bottom of a buttered 2-quart casserole dish. Spread sugars, oats and nuts over apples and cranberries. Top evenly with butter pieces. Bake for 55 to 65 minutes at 325°.

Filling

3 Fuji apples-peeled, cored and sliced 1/4 inch thick
1 1/2 cups fresh or frozen blackberries
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup plus 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour

Topping

1/3 cup rolled oats
1/3 cup whole almonds and pecans, coarsely chopped
3 tablespoons light brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
3 tablespoons butter, softened

Preheat the oven to 350°. Oil an 8-by-8-inch glass baking dish. In a bowl, toss the apples with the blackberries, sugar and 2 tablespoons of the flour. Scrape the filling into the baking dish.

In a bowl, toss the oats with the remaining » cup of flour and the nuts, brown sugar and cinnamon. Add the butter and rub it in thoroughly. Sprinkle the topping over the filling and bake for 35 minutes, until the filling is bubbling and the topping is browned. Let the crisp cool for 10 minutes before serving.

Ingredients:

4 cups thinly sliced apples
1 cup prepared mincemeat
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
1/2 cup chopped dates
1/3 cup cranberry juice
1 cup light brown sugar, firmly packed
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup butter, room temperature

Preparation:
Spread half of the apple slices in a buttered 9-inch square baking dish. Combine mincemeat, chopped nuts, and dates. Spread mixture over apples then pour cranberry juice over all.

In a bowl, combine brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, and butter, mixing with fingertips until crumbly. Sprinkle over mixture in baking pan. Bake at 350° for 55 to 60 minutes, or until apples are tender. Serve warm with whipped cream or ice cream.

Ingredients:

6 medium cooking apples, peeled, cored, sliced
1 1/2 cups flour
1 cup packed brown sugar
1 tablespoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon ginger
3/4 cup butter or margarine, softened

Vanilla ice cream
Maraschino cherries
Whipped cream or whipped topping

Preparation:
Grease crock pot, arrange slices in bottom. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, spices and butter. Cover the apples with this mixture. Tamp down lightly. Cook on HIGH for 3 to 4 hours, until apples are tender.

Ingredients

4 cups sliced peeled tart apples
2 cups blueberries
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 cup all-purpose flour, divided
3/4 cup sugar
1 teaspoon baking powder

1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1 egg, beaten
1/2 cup butter, melted

Directions

Place apples in a greased 11-in. x 7-in. x 2-in. baking dish. Top with blueberries. Mix brown sugar and 2 tablespoons flour; sprinkle over fruit. Combine sugar, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg and remaining flour. Stir in egg with a fork until mixture is crumbly. Sprinkle over fruit; drizzle with butter. Bake at 350 degrees F for 55-60 minutes or until apples are tender. Serve warm.

2/3 cup sugar
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1 teaspoon grated lemon peel
3/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg

1 (20 ounce) can pineapple chunks, drained
3/4 cup quick-cooking oats
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 cup packed brown sugar
1/3 cup cold butter or margarine
1 (3.5 ounce) jar macadamia nuts, chopped

Directions

In a bowl, combine the sugar, cornstarch, lemon peel, cinnamon and nutmeg. Add the apples and pineapple, toss to coat. Transfer to a greased shallow 2-qt. baking dish.

In another bowl, combine oats, flour and brown sugar. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in nuts; sprinkle over apple mixture. Bake, uncovered, at 375 degrees F for 30 minutes. Cover loosely with foil; bake 15 minutes longer or until apples are tender and topping is golden.

1 cup packed brown sugar

5 large Granny Smith apples – peeled, cored and thinly sliced
1 cup frozen raspberries, thawed

6 tablespoons butter, melted

Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly grease a 9×9 inch square baking dish.

In a large bowl, mix brown sugar and 1 tablespoon flour. Add sliced apples and raspberries; toss to coat. Spoon into baking dish. In a medium bowl, mix together oats, 1/2 cup flour, cinnamon and salt. Stir in butter until crumbly. Sprinkle over apple mixture.

Bake in pre heated oven for 50 to 55 minutes, or until topping is lightly browned. Serve warm.
